1. Series Dominance
• Canisius has dominated the last 10 games of the Battle of the Bridge series, going 9-1 overall, including a 5-0 mark on the road at the Gallagher Center. The Golden Griffins have won the last five games of the series, dating back to Jan. 18, 2017, during which they have played two overtime games with the Purple Eagles.
 
2. Welch's success against the Purple Eagles
• In the last five meetings between Canisius and Niagara, senior Maria Welch is averaging 15.2 points per game. The Erie, Pa., native has scored 10 or more points in all but one of the last five game against the Purple Eagles, and has scored 20-plus points twice. In the first round of the 2017 MAAC Tournament against Niagara, Welch scored a career-high 25 points, going 7-for-14 from the field, including a 5-for-7 mark from the perimeter.
 
3. Tops in MAAC Play
• Since the start of MAAC play the Blue and Gold rank first in field goal percentage (44.6), field goal percentage defense (34.1), 3-point field goal percentage (37.6), rebounding margin (+6.2) and defensive rebounds (28.1). Canisius trails Quinnipiac for the best 3-point field goal percentage defense (28.6) mark in conference play.
 
4. Hinriksdottir's Week
• The Keflavik, Iceland, product had one of her best three game stretches of her season last week, highlighted by two double-doubles. Senior Sara Hinriksdottir put together a 20 point and 10 rebound outing against Fairfield on Thursday and followed it up with a 14 point and 10 rebound game against Quinnipiac two days later. Earlier in the week, Hinriksdottir recorded 20 points and seven rebounds versus Iona.

5. Canal Cup on the line
• Canisius enters Wednesday with a 9-5 lead in the 2018-19 Canal Cup standings. The Blue and Gold have only lost the Canal Cup twice since its inception back in 2006-07. Niagara took home the title in that inaugural season then again in 2009-10.
