Canisius Athletics Joins with Flying Bison for Craft Beer Nights

Canisius men's basketball fans will have five chances to enjoy craft beers exclusively in the Griffins Den & Pub in conjunction with the athletic department's new partnership with Flying Bison Brewing Company, it was announced Tuesday.

Flying Bison will be on site in the Griffins Den & Pub, located in the Patrick Lee Gymnasium, when the Golden Griffin men's basketball team plays host to Bucknell (Nov. 16), Siena (Jan. 17), Quinnipiac (Jan. 31), Monmouth (Feb. 14) and Niagara (March 6). All five games start at 7 p.m., with doors opening at 5:45 p.m. Flying Bison beverages will be sold prior to, and at halftime of, all five of those home contests.

Canisius also announced that the exclusive "Cheers to Basketball" online ticket package for those five games is now available. Any fan who purchases a ticket for one of those five games will receive a voucher for a free beer, soda or water in the Griffins Den & Pub. All "Cheers to Basketball" ticket packages must be ordered within 48 hours prior to the start of the game, as there are no gameday sales for this offer, and all fans must be 21 years or older with valid ID to consume alcohol. The Canisius men's basketball team returns to action Wednesday when the Blue and Gold travels to play at Albany, with game time set for 7 p.m. The Griffs' 2019-20 home opener is set for Saturday, Nov. 16, when the team hosts Bucknell in the Koessler Athletic Center.
