The Canisius men's soccer team hosts Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference foe Iona Wednesday in a 4 p.m. contest at the Demske Sports Complex in downtown Buffalo.

Scouting Canisius
• Canisius (2-9-1, 1-3-0 MAAC) eyes a return to the win column after suffering a heartbreaking 4-3 setback at Saint Peter's last Saturday that saw the Peacocks overcome a two-goal deficit to stun the visiting Griffs.
• Senior Troy Brady recorded a goal and an assist against Saint Peter's to increase his team-leading point total to eight (3g, 2a).
• Freshmen Federico Mereto and Julius Schoner accounted for the other two Canisius goals. Schoner is the ninth different Griff to find the back of the net this season.

Scouting Iona
• The Gaels (7-2-1, 2-0-1 MAAC) enter Wednesday's matchup looking to remain undefeated in league play after playing to a scoreless draw versus Fairfield last Saturday.
• Mauro Bravo highlights a balanced Iona attack as he leads the team in scoring with 14 points. Bravo is tied with Lenworth Lopez for the team lead in goals (5) and Esad Mackic in assists (4)
• Giuliano Santucci and Gabriel Cinanni have split time in goal this season. Together, the tandem has posted a 1.06 goals against average and a .771 save percentage in 931 minutes of work.

Canisius vs Iona Series Notes
• Wednesday's match will be the 33rd meeting between Canisius and Iona.
• The Gaels own a 20-8-4 record over the Griffs, having won eight of the last 11 matchups between the two programs.
• Iona recorded a 4-1 victory in their lone meeting last season in New Rochelle. The Griffs opened the scoring in the 57th minute, but Iona responded with four straight tallies to take the match.
• Canisius defeated Iona in their most recent matchup at the Demske Sports Complex, a 1-0 triumph during the first round of the 2017 MAAC Men's Soccer Championship.
