Canisius men's lacrosse begins a three-game road swing Saturday with a matchup against non-conference opponent Colgate.

Opening faceoff between the Golden Griffins and Raiders is set for 1 p.m. at Andy Kerr Stadium in Hamilton, N.Y.

Scouting Canisius
• The Griffs head into Saturday's matchup with the Raiders looking to extend a winning streak that stands at three games following a 12-11 come-from-behind victory over Cleveland State back on March 4 at the Demske Sports Complex.
• Senior Connor Kearnan paces a Canisius attack that leads the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference in both goals per game (12.50) and shooting percentage (.400) as he ranks first on the Griffs roster in both points (24) and assists (15)
• Senior Ryan McKee has recorded a team-high 11 goals while sophomore Carter Stefaniak is second with 10. Stefaniak sits second on the squad's scoring chart with 15 points while McKee is in third place with 14.
• Sophomore long-stick midfielder Reece Eddy has been a force on both ends of the field as he leads the team with 20 ground balls and six caused turnovers while also chipping in two goals.
• Senior Liam Ganzhorn has started all three games in goal for Canisius. He has posted an 11.75 goals against average and .427 save percentage in 240 minutes of action.
• Canisius has thrived in man-up situations thus far in 2018 as it is 7-for-16 (.438) with the extra attacker to lead the MAAC in that category.

Late Spark Lifts Canisius Past Cleveland State, 12-11
• Canisius scored twice in the final 1:56 of regulation to erase a one-goal deficit and defeat Cleveland State, 12-11, at the Demske Sports Complex on March 4.
• Sophomore Mathieu Boissonneault scored the game-tying goal with less than two minutes remaining in regulation before Carter Stefaniak tallied the game winner just 79 seconds later to lead the Golden Griffins to their third straight come-from-behind victory.
• Senior Connor Kearnan recorded his second hat trick of the season and fellow senior Ryan McKee turned in a four-point outing with two goals and two assists. Senior Steven Coss notched one goal and dished out a game-high three assists while Stefaniak finished with a goal and two assists.
• The one-goal result was the third in four contests for Canisius as it moved to 2-1 in games decided by a single tally in 2018.
• Kearnan's hat trick was his second of the season and the 15th of his career. His three-point effort also moved him into a tie with Nick LoCoco (2008-11) and Jeff Edwards (2014-17) for 13th place on the program's career scoring list (121).

Scouting Colgate
• The Raiders enter Saturday's contest with a 4-3 overall record after halting a three-game losing skid with a 16-9 victory at Patriot League rival Boston University last Saturday.
• Freshman Mike Hawkins has gotten off to a torrid start to his collegiate career as he leads the Raiders in goals (19) and points (24). Hawkins has scored on nearly half of his 41 shots taken thus far this season (19-of-41).
• Junior Sam Cleveland is second on the team in scoring with 19 points, thanks in large part to his team-high 16 assists.
• Juniors Connor Mullen and Cyrus Scott have split time in goal for the Raiders this season. Together, the duo has combined to post a 10.19 goals against average and a .413 save percentage in 420 minutes of action.

Canisius-Colgate Series Notes
• Saturday's matchup serves as the 14th matchup between the two Empire-State programs, but the first since the 2009 campaign.
• The Raiders have won all 13 previous meetings.
• Canisius is 0-7 in road contests against Colgate, including an 15-11 setback in their most recent contest back in February of 2009.

Up Next
• Canisius continues its three-game road swing Tuesday with a mid-week matchup against No. 1 Albany.
• Opening faceoff for the contest against the top-ranked Great Danes is set for 7 p.m. at Tom and Mary Casey Stadium in Albany, N.Y.
