Indoor Track Completes Day One of MAAC Championship

The team of Nick Neamtu, Marcus Brown, Josh Sopchak and Donny Glavin placed third in the men's distance medley relay with a time of 10:07.64, as the Canisius Indoor Track program completed day one of the 2018 MAAC Indoor Track and Field Championships Saturday evening from the New Balance Armory Track and Field Center in New York, N.Y.

The women's distance medley relay team of senior Carlin Sullivan, senior Haylie Virginia, senior Mary Manzari and junior Siobhan Quinn broke a school record, placing third in 12:05.31.

The other finals event of the evening, the 5k, saw senior Jeff Antolos place fifth in the men's race with a time of 15:00.79, while senior Livi Chase ended in 13th on the women's side at 19:08.30

Day two begins Sunday at 4:00 p.m. with the women's 60 meter hurdles and will feature 15 other track finals events, including the men's and women's 3k at 6:35 p.m.
