The schedule for the 2017 FIL Rathbones Women's Lacrosse World Cup has officially been determined, the Federation of International Lacrosse announced Tuesday.
Team Canada, led by Canisius' head women's lacrosse coach Scott Teeter, will compete alongside 24 other nations to determine the 2017 world champion.
Canisus junior midfielder Erica Evans, Canisius assistant coach Kay Morissette, and former Griffs goaltender Allison Daley will represent team Canada in the games, beginning July 12 and running through July 22, from Surrey Sports Park in Guilford, England.
Team Canada, which won a silver medal at the last world cup in 2013, will play five round-robin games from July 13 to July 18, with a knockout round beginning on July 19. The team is guaranteed a quarter-final game in the tournament and has the opportunity to compete in the semi-final round July 20, along with the championship on July 22 should it advance.
