Dixon-Green Signs with London Lightning

Former Canisius men's basketball player Martin Dixon-Green recently signed with the London Lightning, the defending champions of the National Basketball League of Canada. He is the second former Golden Griffin to sign and play in the league in the last decade after former Griff Harold Washington played for the Moncton Miracles during the 2014 season.

In the Lightning's 99-92 preseason victory over the Raptors 905 of the NBA G League Oct. 28, Dixon-Green scored eight points and grabbed four boards in 12 minutes off the bench. He is currently one of 14 players on London's roster.

In his career with the Griffs, Dixon-Green played in 22 games, where he averaged 2.4 points and 2.0 rebounds per game in a reserve roll. He scored a career-high 10 points in two different games, and grabbed a career-high six boards in the Griffs' road win at Rider Feb. 17.
