All this week, Canisius will introduce the four male nominees for the 2015-16 Rookie of the Year Award. After all four candidates for this award are posted on Monday and Tuesday, fans will have the chance to vote on who they think will win the award in an online poll which will run on GoGriffs.com through Wednesday evening. The 2015-16 Canisius Male Rookie of the Year will be officially introduced Thursday, June 16 at noon.

Dylan McLaughlin – hockey
Canisius freshman Dylan McLaughlin is the third nominee for the 2015-16 Canisius Male Rookie of the Year award. A native of Lancaster, N.Y., McLaughlin was voted as the hockey team's Rookie of the Year after he played in 39 games in his freshman campaign.
Stats and Awards
• McLaughlin was one of four players, and the only freshman on the team, to play in all 39 games in 2015-16.
• He ranked 22nd nationally and fourth in Atlantic Hockey among rookies with 26 points, scoring eight goals to go with 18 assists.
• He was named the NCAA Third Star of the Week and the Atlantic Hockey Player of the Week Feb. 16, while collecting the league's Rookie of the Week accolades Jan. 12.
• McLaughlin matched the program record with four assists in a game against Bentley, and closed out the year by recording 19 points in the Griffs' final 19 games.
