The Canisius Golden Griffins travel south to Pittsburgh to play at Duquesne in the third game of the Bluegrass Showcase. Canisius is 0-2 on the season after falling to Cleveland State Tuesday night. The Dukes are 2-1 this season after recording an 89-75 win over Saint Francis University Wednesday evening.

• The Canisius men's basketball team returns to action tonight at Duquesne looking for its first win of the 2016-17 season.
• Canisius is 0-2 on the year after losing at Cleveland State Nov. 15 by the score of 67-64.
• The Golden Griffins are off to their first 0-2 start since 2008-09.
• The Griffs opened the 2016-17 season Nov. 13 at No. 2/4 Kentucky. Canisius lost that game 93-69, but the Blue and Gold led by as many as six points late in the game's first half.

• Canisius and Duquesne are meeting for the 16th time in series history. The last meeting came Dec. 16, 2009, an 86-77 win for the Dukes in double overtime.
CANISIUS - DUQUESNE SERIES
• This will be the 16th all-time meeting between Canisius and Duquesne, with the Dukes holding a 10-5 advantage in the series.
• Duquesne has won the last two contests between these teams, dating back to the 1999-00 season.
• The Dukes scored an 86-77 win over the Griffs in double-overtime the last time the teams played in Pittsburgh.
• The series started Feb. 25, 1915, where Duquesne posted a 90-20 win over Canisius.
ABOUT THE DUKES
• Duquesne is 2-1 on the year after the Dukes posted an 89-75 win over Saint Francis University on Wednesday night.
• The Dukes are led by sophomore Tarin Smith and his team-high 14.7 points per game scoring average. Smith is in his first year on Duquesne's active roster. He sat out 2015-16 after transferring from Nebraska.
• Freshman Isiaha Mike is second on the team in scoring, adding 10.3 points per game this year. He went 4-for-5 from 3-point land in the win over the Red Flash on Wednesday.
• The Dukes went 17-17 overall last season and advanced to the second round of the CBI. The team returned just two regular starters off that roster.
