Nine members of the Canisius College rowing teams have been named to the 2014 MAAC All-Academic team, the league announced on Friday.

Sophomores Hannah Blum, Nora Kennon, Molly Murphy and Jordan Szustak, juniors Liz Reinwald and Alexa Vadala and seniors Allison Braun, Meghan Martin and Liz McKinney were honored by the league for their excellence in the classroom.

In order to make the team, a student-athlete must maintain a 3.2 cumulative GPA and have completed at least one year at the institution.

The Griffs will compete in the MAAC Championships beginning on Saturday at 10:30 a.m.
