Sophomore midfielder Tim Edwards was named to the Frontier Airlines Face-Off Classic Team after his performances against Air Force and nationally-ranked Denver, announced on Monday.

Edwards totaled four points, two goals and two assists in a pair of games during the weekend. The sophomore tied for the team with three points against Air Force on Saturday, netting two goals to go along with an assist. He then added a helper versus No. 11 Denver on Sunday.

Listed on the Tewaaraton Award Watch List, Edwards was named the 2012 MAAC Rookie of the Year after posting 32 points last season. He netted 13 goals to go along with a team-best 19 assists to help the Griffs to the program's second MAAC Championship.

Canisius returns to action on Tuesday, March 5, hosting No. 7 Cornell in its home opener.
