QUICK HITTERS
- The Canisius College women's basketball team concludes its two-game home set against Iona College on Kid's Day in the Koessler Athletic Center on Monday morning.
- The Golden Griffins are 7-2 in their last nine Kid's Day games in the KAC.

SCOUTING THE GRIFFS
- Sophomore Jamie Ruttle, the 2011 MAAC Rookie of the Year, leads Canisius in scoring (11.1) and rebounding (5.2). She has scored in double figures in six of the last eight games and ranks seventh in the conference in field goal percentage and is tied for seventh in blocks per game (0.9).
- Sophomore Jen Morabito, a MAAC All-Rookie Team selection, has made 33 3-point field goals this season, accounting for 76.6 percent of her made field goals. Morabito has made three or more 3-pointers in seven games and has scored in double figures a team-high nine times this season.
- Junior Allison Braun, the team's captain for the 2011-12 season, is shooting 51.9 percent from the field in the last 11 games. Braun has at least five rebounds in seven games and has at least one steal in 12 of the last 13 games.
- Junior Ashley Durham has 31 assists in the last six contests and is tied for third in the MAAC in assists per game (4.1). Durham also ranks second in the conference in free-throw percentage (89.8) and has made 43 of her last 45 free throws.
- Freshman Kayla Hoohuli has 20 3-pointers in the last nine games after making three 3-pointers in the opening five games. Hoohuli has drawn a team-high seven charges on the season and has started the last seven games, averaging 10.0 points per game.

- Sophomore Courtney VandeBovenkamp is averaging 8.4 points and 6.4 rebounds in the last five games. She had a career-high with five blocks against Cornell. VandeBovenkamp has at least five rebounds in each of the last five games.
- Sophomore Jen Lennox has scored six or more points in six games this season. The 6-foot-3 forward has a block in 25 career games, including eight blocks in the last nine games.
- Junior Melissa Gardner has scored 21 points with 22 rebounds and six assists while shooting 11-for-13 from the free-throw line in the last 10 games (77 total minutes).
- Freshman Brooke Angelos is averaging 5.3 assists per 40 minutes.
IONA SCOUT
- Iona enters Monday's game with a 6-8 record, having won two straight after a 71-61 win at Niagara on Saturday.
- Preseason All-MAAC First-Team selection Kristina Ford has missed the last four games with a knee injury. Ford was averaging 17.6 points and 7.9 rebounds per game.
- Freshman Damika Martinez scored 29 points at Niagara on Saturday, following up a 27-point performance against Siena on Wendesday.
- Senior Tomica Bacic is averaging 6.8 points and 6.0 rebounds per game. Fifth-year senior Suzi Fregosi has 65 assists and 35 turnovers on the season, including a 10-assist, zero-turnover effort against Siena.
- Iona leads the MAAC in scoring average (61.0). The Gaels have also allowed a league-high 69.0 points per game.
- Iona has a defensive rebounding percentage of 58.8 and an offensive rebounding percentage of 32.7. The Gaels are shooting 27.7 percent from behind the arc and making 5.3 3-pointers per game.
- Anthony Bozella is in his 10th season at Iona, and has led the Gaels to a 125-164 record during his time at New Rochelle. Bozella has guided Iona to the WNIT in three of the last five seasons.
SERIES HISTORY VS. IONA
- Canisius and Iona are meeting for the 47th time, with the all-time series tied at 23-23.
- Iona has won the last four and nine of the last 11 meetings between the teams.
- Iona swept the season series between the team's last year, winning 63-46 in New Rochelle and 66-56 in the Koessler Athletic Center on Feb. 18. In the meeting in the KAC, Iona held Canisius without a 3-point field goal, ending the Golden Griffins' streak of consecutive games at 510.
