- The Canisius College women's basketball team concludes its conference-opening road trip at six-time defending league champion Marist College on Wednesday night.

SCOUTING THE GRIFFS
- Sophomore Jamie Ruttle, the 2011 MAAC Rookie of the Year, leads Canisius in scoring (11.8) and rebounding (5.2). She has scored in double figures in five of the last six games and ranks seventh in the conference in field goal percentage and free-throw percentage.
- Sophomore Jen Morabito, a MAAC All-Rookie Team selection, has made 32 3-point field goals this season. Morabito has made three or more 3-pointers in six games and has scored in double figures a team-high eight times this season.
- Junior Allison Braun, the team's captain for the 2011-12 season, is shooting 50.0 percent from the field in the last nine games. Braun has at least five rebounds in six games and has at least one steal in 10 of the last 11 games.
- Junior Ashley Durham has 22 assists in the last four contests and is fifth in the MAAC in assists per game (4.0). Durham also ranks first in the conference in free-throw percentage (89.8) and has made 34 of her last 35 free throws.
- Freshman Kayla Hoohuli has 15 3-pointers in the last seven games (shooting 46.7 percent) after making three 3-pointers in the opening five games. Hoohuli has taken a team-high seven charges on the season and has started the last five games.

- Junior Melissa Gardner has scored 15 points with 14 rebounds and three assists while shooting 9-for-11 from the free-throw line in the last eight games (61 total minutes).

- Marist is 6-6 on the season, after rallying from a double-digit second-half deficit to win 56-54 at Saint Peter's on Monday.
- Marist went 5-6 against a non-conference schedule featuring Villanova, Princeton, Auburn, St. Bonaventure and Kansas State.
- MAAC preseason Player of the Year Corielle Yarde leads Marist in scoring (14.8 points), rebounding (6.3) and assists (4.9). She also leads Marist with 16 blocks and 23 steals.
- Senior Brandy Gang ranks second on the team at 10.4 points per game.
- Sophomore Leanne Ockenden leads the team with 21 made 3-pointers and is shooting 34.4 percent from behind the arc.
- Senior point guard Kristine Best, who started the first six games of the season, is out for the season with a knee injury.
- Marist is averaging 57.3 points per game. The Red Foxes are shooting 37.7 percent from the floor and 26.9 percent on 3-pointers. Marist has a -7.2 rebounding margin, a 63.6 defensive rebounding percentage and a 24.8 offensive rebounding percentage.
- Brian Giorgis is in his 10th season at Marist and has a 231-71 record. Giorgis has led the Red Foxes to eight straight MAAC regular-season titles and seven MAAC Championships.
SERIES HISTORY VS. MARIST
- Canisius and Marist are meeting for the 37th time, with the Red Foxes holding a 23-13 lead in the all-time series.
- Marist has won the last six meetings between the teams.
- The last Canisius win in the series came on Feb. 6, 2009, in a 68-60 win in front of a sold-out crowd at the McCann Center.
