Canisius College women's lacrosse head coach Scott Teeter announced on Monday that
goalkeeper Kayla Scully has signed a National Letter of Intent to join the Golden Griffin program,
beginning in the 2012 season.
"Kayla is a tremendous stopper," Teeter said. "She will
compete immediately for playing time on our roster and along with junior Gina Molfetta, she gives us one of the
best goaltender combinations in the MAAC."
A four-year letterwinner at South Jefferson High School,
Scully received honorable mention to the 2010 Frontier League All-Star Team as
a junior. She has helped her team to a 13-4 record in 2011, anchoring the
defense with a .537 save percentage. Scully is also a member of the Different
Road Patriots club team.
Scully joins Meaghan
Cuddy, Casey Depauw, Tori Quinn and Natalie Wagaman as members of the Class of the 2015. The four all
signed NLIs during the early signing period in November.
