The Terriers lead the all-time series 13-8, having won three straight over Canisius, dating back to Dec. 29, 1998, when BU won in Boston by a score of 80-58.

Boston University is 10-13 overall and 5-4 in the America East Conference after the team lost at New Hampshire Jan. 29 by a score of 60-48. The Griffs and Terriers share two common opponents this season, as both squads have played Marist and Binghamton, which is also a member of America East. Senior guard John Holland leads Boston University's offensive attack with his 18.7 points per game, while junior guard Darryl Partin is chipping in 13.6 points per contest. Under second-year head coach Patrick Chambers, the Terriers rank third in America East in scoring offense at 64.7 points per game and lead the league in free-throw shooting percentage, knocking down 71.9 percent of their tries from the charity stripe.

Canisius is currently 10-10 overall and 4-6 in the MAAC after beating long-time rival Niagara 69-54 Jan. 28 in the Koessler Athletic Center. The Griffs will meet MAAC-leading Fairfield Monday night at 7:30 p.m., in a game that will be televised live on MSG and ESPN3.com.
