- Canisius returns to Western New York for five consecutive games, four of them at home, starting with Friday's nationally televised ESPNU contest against first-place Marist.
- Canisius is hosting an ESPNU game for the third time in five seasons.
- Senior Brittané Russell is 17 assists and five steals from becoming the first active player in the country and first player in MAAC history with 1,200 points, 500 rebounds, 400 assists and 300 steals.
- Russell's next start will be the 100th of her career — making her the sixth Golden Griffin to reach that milestone.

- Marist enters Friday's game on a 12-game winning streak after opening the season with a 4-4 mark.
- The Red Foxes have won 14 straight MAAC games and 22 straight MAAC road games, dating back to a 62-55 loss at Loyola on Feb. 16, 2007. Marist has won five of the last six MAAC Championships.
- Rachele Fitz leads the MAAC in scoring (18.2) and is fourth in rebounding (7.9). Fitz is shooting 57.3 percent from the floor and 83.9 percent from the free-throw line.
- Corielle Yarde leads the MAAC in scoring in conference games (18.3 points). On the season, Yarde is shooting 37 percent on 3-pointers and 87.8 percent from behind the arc.
- Erica Allenspach is averaging 13.9 points per game and is shooting 44.9 percent on 3-pointers.
- Marist is first in the MAAC in scoring offense, scoring margin, free throw percentage, field goal percentage, field goal percentage defense, 3-point field goal percentage and assists per game. The Red Foxes are sixth in rebounding margin, second in turnover margin and second in 3-point field goals made per game.
- Brian Giorgis is in his eighth season at Marist and has a 184-58 record.
SCOUTING THE GRIFFS
- Senior Brittané Russell leads Canisius in scoring, assists, steals and minutes played.
- Dating back to last season, Russell has two or more steals in 18 of the last 21 games and in 81 games in her career.
- Russell has at least four rebounds in 15 games this season.
- In MAAC play, Russell leads the conference in field goal percentage (50.7) and is shooting 47.5 percent on 3-pointers in MAAC games, which ranks fourth in the conference
- Senior Ellie Radke ranks second on the team in scoring (10.9 points) and first in rebounding (5.7). Radke had her second career double-double with 18 points and 11 boards at Loyola.
- Radke scored 13 points in the first half against Loyola and has scored at least 12 points in the first half of four games this season, including two of the last three games.
- Junior Micayla Drysdale is the program's all-time leader in 3-point field goal percentage, ranking first at 40.2 percent. Drysdale has made two or more 3-pointers in nine games this season and in 40 games in her career.
- Drysdale is shooting 41.7 percent on 3-pointers in the last five games.
- Drysdale returned to the starting lineup against Manhattan on Jan. 11, and has started 72 of the last 74 games.
- In 42 career MAAC games, Drysdale has an assist-turnover ratio of 1.46.
- Senior Brianna Lucas moved into the starting lineup against Buffalo, making her 11th career start and first start since Feb. 17, 2008, at Iona. Lucas has played in 111 career games.
- Lucas has a career assist-turnover ratio of 1.18, including a 1.42 assist-turnover ratio this season.
- In MAAC play, Lucas is tied for sixth in the MAAC in 3-point field goal percentage (43.8).
- Senior Tasia Lee is third on the team in scoring (7.1 points per game) to go along with 3.1 rebounds per game, 1.4 steals per game and a team-best 46.1 field goal percentage.
- Lee is averaging 8.6 points in the last eight games and has scored in double figures three times since Christmas.
- Freshman Ashley Durham scored a career-high 12 points against Loyola. Durham is first on the team in free-throw percentage (84.2 percent).
- Freshman Allison Braun moved into the starting lineup against Siena, playing a team-high 35 minutes, and has started the last six games.
- Braun scored a career-high 14 points against Loyola. Since the start of December, Braun has five or more rebounds in seven games, averaging 4.5 rebounds during that stretch.
- Freshman Whitney Ellenor has set a career high in minutes three times in January, and had a career-high six rebounds against Iona on Jan. 9. In the last six games, Ellenor is averaging 4.2 rebounds per game.
- Canisius is 5-0 this season when shooting 40 percent or better from the field.
CANISIUS VS. MARIST
- Marist leads the all-time series 19-13 over the Golden Griffins. Marist has won 10 of the last 11 meetings between the teams.
- The teams are meeting for the fourth time in the last year. Canisius defeated Marist 68-60 on Feb. 6, 2009 in front of a sold-out crowd in the McCann Center. The Red Foxes won the MAAC Championship game 78-63 on March 8, 2009, in the Times Union Center. Marist won 73-37 earlier this month in Poughkeepsie.
- Canisius and Marist are meeting for the eighth time in the last three seasons.The teams have met in the postseason each of the past two seasons and four times in the last six seasons, including three times in the MAAC Championship game.
