Statement from Head Basketball Coach Tom Parrotta

Former Canisius College men's basketball player Menghe “Papi” a'Nyam, passed away Sunday, June 29.

“We are all deeply saddened by Papi's sudden and tragic passing,” Canisius men's basketball coach Tom Parrotta said. “Our hearts are with his family and all those that he positively affected.”

Canisius held a remembrance service on campus July 1, for a'Nyam. The Yaounde, Cameroon native played in 41 games during the 2006-07 and 2007-08 seasons.

a'Nyam left the College to pursue other educational opportunities.
