Canisius College Releases Cory Magee from NLI

Canisius College men's basketball recruit Cory Magee (Rochester, N.Y./Fairport) has been granted a release from his National Letter of Intent (NLI) by the school, it was announced today.

Magee, a 6-foot-8 forward, signed an NLI to attend Canisius last fall, and the school made a coaching change in April.

“I visited with Cory last Friday afternoon and made it clear that we wanted him to be part of an exciting time at Canisius,” said head coach Tom Parrotta. “It's disappointing, but I want student-athletes who believe that Canisius College is the right fit for them. Cory has to do what is best for him, and I wish him well in his future endeavors.”
