The Mount responded in the bottom half of the opening frame, drawing a walk and a hit-by-pitch before Meyer launched a three-run homer to left to give the home team a one-run lead.

Mount St. Mary's was quick to respond in the bottom half of the inning as it plated five runs on five hits, highlighted by a three-run home run from Rudisill, to grab an 8-4 lead.

The Mount added to its lead in the fifth as an RBI groundout from Christian Bauman expanded the Mountaineers lead to 9-4.
