Robert Morris Outlasts Hockey to Complete Sweep

Bruce McDonald tallied a goal and an assist while Dominic Elliott, Connor Gourley and Cameron Garvey chipped in individual tallies for the Colonials (9-16-3, 9-9-2 AHA). Lucas Massie turned aside 35 shots in goal for the home team, who earned a sweep of the weekend series with Saturday's victory.

Wilson scored the game-winning goal just 41 seconds into the third period, breaking a 4-4 tie when he collected a bouncing puck off the end boards during 4-on-4 play and beat Wickström Stumer for the go-ahead goal.

The Colonials kept the Griffs from getting any closer, putting the game away in the final minute of regulation as Garvey recorded an empty-net tally to secure the two-goal victory.

Price struck twice in the opening 12 minutes of the contest to give the Griffs an early 2-0 lead. He found the back of the net on the opening shift of the game when he batted home his own rebound while falling during a rush opportunity just 23 seconds into the contest before getting his second with 11:26 elapsed in the frame when his knocked home a loose puck after his pass was knocked down by an RMU defender.
The Colonials answered back, scoring twice in a little more than a minute span to knot the score at 2-2. Gourley got RMU on the board with 16:24 gone in the frame with a wrist shot over the glove of Wickström Stumer before Elliott tied the game just 68 seconds later when his shot from the right point beat Wickström Stumer to the blocker side.

Zacher capped the first period barrage just 19 seconds after Elliott's equalizer, working his way into the RMU zone before placing a wrist shot under the right arm of Massie to restore the Canisius advantage, 3-2.
Wilson brought the Colonials level just past the six-minute mark of the second, wiring a wrist shot over the right shoulder of Wickström Stumer before McDonald gave RMU its first lead of the contest with 16:07 played in the middle frame as he finished off a 3-on-2 rush by beating a diving Wickström Stumer for his fourth goal of the season.

Rasmussen responded for the Griffs just 65 seconds after McDonald's go-ahead goal, jamming home a rebound to send the game to the third period tied at 4-4.
