Swimming and Diving Announces 2025-26 Schedule

2025-26 SCHEDULE

The Canisius men's and women's swimming and diving teams will officially open the 2025-26 season on Oct. 11 at Marist, head coach Scott Vanderzell announced today.

In all, the Golden Griffins are scheduled to compete in nine events before heading to the Spire Institute in Geneva, Ohio, for the 2026 MAAC Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving Championships, set for Feb. 11-14.

The meet at Marist on Oct. 11 starts a busy stretch for the Blue and Gold, which will see the teams compete against Rochester and Siena (Oct. 18) before hosting Geneseo at Erie Community College's Burt Flickinger Center Oct. 24 for the first of two home meets on the schedule.

The Griffs will head on the road to compete at Binghamton (Nov. 1) and St. Bonaventure (Nov. 7) before taking part in the UB Invite Nov. 21-22. That event at the University at Buffalo will be Canisius' final competition in the 2025 calendar year.

After the holiday break, Canisius will return home Jan. 10, when the Griffs host Rider at the Flickinger Center. The Griffs' final two events before the 2026 MAAC Championships will be at Niagara (Jan. 17) and at Le Moyne (Jan. 24).

Last year, both the Canisius men's and women's swimming and diving teams placed seventh at the MAAC Championships. There, Canisius recorded a pair of All-MAAC finishes and established six program records. Daphne Mead was named the Female Co-Rookie of the Meet after she set four of the six program records in her first conference championship appearance.
