Softball Series Finale Against Sacred Heart Rained Out

The Canisius softball regular-season finale against Sacred Heart has been canceled due to inclement weather in Buffalo, and the forecast for extended rain throughout the day.

Because Saturday is the final day of the MAAC regular season, the contest between the Golden Griffins and the Pioneers will not be rescheduled.

Canisius ends the 2025 regular season with an overall record of 25-24 to go with a 15-10 mark in MAAC play. The Griffs' two wins on April 29 at Manhattan officially secured the team's berth into the MAAC Softball Championship field for the fifth-straight year and for the 27th time in program history. This year's MAAC Softball Championship will run from Tuesday, May 6 through Saturday, May 10 at Marist's Gartland Park in Poughkeepsie, N.Y. An official tournament game schedule will be announced by the league office on Sunday.
