Golf Closes Out Day Two of MAAC Championship

Canisius senior Ryan Edholm was one of 12 golfers to shoot at-par or better on Friday with his 72 on the second day of the 2025 MAAC Golf Championship at Disney's Magnolia Golf Course in Lake Buena Vista, Fla.

Edholm's 72, coupled with his opening-round 71 on Thursday, has him in a tie for ninth place in the field after the event's first 36 holes. After playing the course's first 15 holes at -1, Edholm doubled the par-4 16th hole, but answered with a birdie-two on the par-3 17th hole to get back to even on the day. He will enter Saturday's final round as one of 10 golfers in the field with an overall score under-par.

Sophomore Mikey Takacs birdied each of the last two holes on the day to shoot 73, which moved him into a three-way tie for 13th on the leaderboard. Freshman Chase Burgess and sophomore Jake Dantonio both shot 78s on the day.

As a team, Canisius posted a team score of 301, which has the Blue and Gold in eighth place on the team leaderboard. Iona shot 288 on Friday to move up two spots and take the lead in the team portion of the championship after 36 holes. The Gaels are two strokes in front of Sacred Heart and Fairfield, which are both tied for second.

Fairfield's Tadgh Burke shot a four-under 68 on Friday to maintain his lead in the individual portion of the event.

The third and final round of the 2025 MAAC Golf Championship will tee-off on Saturday at 10 a.m.
