Men's Soccer Welcomes Four Newcomers to Roster

Canisius men's soccer head coach Michael Tanke announced Tuesday that Henrique Dias, Anthony Tata, Dominic Dominguez and Preston Harold have been added to the roster for the 2025 season.

"First and foremost we want to welcome these four young men to our program," Tanke said. "Having players arrive in January is always helpful as it allows us to on-board guys, on and off the field, during the spring semester. They should all be ready come August!"

Comments from Tanke on all four players can be found below.

Anthony Tata - RNYFC MLS NEXT - Spencerport, N.Y.
"Anthony is a local player whose biggest strength is his versatility. He can play 6 and 8, 2 and 3, and as a center back. Like Henrique, he's arriving to Canisus after half of a gap-year.  We're looking forward to his growth over the next few years."

Henrique Dias - New England Revolution - North Andover, Mass.
"Henrique is a center back coming to us from the NE Revolution academy. He's comfortable with the ball and is a brave defender. He's also versatile, having played on the left and the right interchangeably."

Preston Harold - Jacksonville University - Scarborough, Ontario
"Preston is coming all the way from Jacksonville University, but he's a Toronto area kid. We hope this opportunity closer to home is exactly what he needs to flourish."

Dominic Dominguez - American University - Jacksonville, Fla.
"Dominic is a graduate transfer from American University. He's mature and experienced on and off the field. We're excited to see what kind of an impact he can make on the program with his fifth year."
