The Canisius athletic department announced today that 25 of the 29 home men's and women's basketball games during the 2025-26 season will feature a promotional event, starting with Wild Weekend on Nov. 6-7 when the Golden Griffins officially open the home men's and women's basketball schedules for the year.
Season tickets for the entire home schedule are on sale, and can be purchased online by CLICKING HERE, or calling the Canisius ticket office at (716) 888-TIXX. Additionally, single-game tickets for all home games on the schedule are also on sale now. Fans can purchase tickets online through Ticketmaster or the school's official athletic department website, GoGriffs.com. Fans can also purchase single-game tickets by phone by calling (716) 888-TIXX, or in person at the ticket office inside the Koessler Athletic Center during normal business hours. This year, Canisius fans can enjoy beer throughout the Koessler Athletic Center. Beers and mixed drinks will be available for sale in the Ellicottville Brewing Company (EBC) Fan Zone 60 minutes before the game through halftime. Fans are welcome to bring beverages back to their seats. Be sure to pay attention to special edition drinkware available at select games, and pregame Happy Hour specials!
EBC Fan Zone: 
The EBC Fan Zone will be open 60 minutes prior to all men's basketball games and select women's basketball games throughout the 2025-26 season. Weekday games will include a $15 buffet and cash bar, while the weekend games will have a cash bar and light snacks. The food and bar service will close each game at the conclusion of halftime. As a reminder, the EBC Fan Zone is open to ALL FANS.
Reserved Parking is available in the Lower Koessler Lot for Season Ticket Holders and Donors of $750 or more. Parking passes will be included in season ticket packages for those that qualify.
General Parking will be available in the Upper Koessler Lot and Science Hall Lot off Delevan Avenue.

Thursday, Nov. 6 - MBB vs. Allegheny (7 p.m.) – Wild Weekend 2025-26 Home Opener, presented by Pepsi
The men's basketball team opens the home portion of its 122nd season with the Griffs' first meeting with Allegheny. Schedule poster giveaway to the first 250 fans in attendance.
Friday, Nov. 7 – WBB vs. Eastern Michigan (6:30 p.m.) – Wild Weekend 2025-26 Home Opener, presented by Pepsi
The Canisius women's basketball program opens its 50th season of basketball with a home game against Eastern Michigan, and the first 100 Canisius students in the building will receive rally towels. Canisius will unveil its first branded mixed drink in collaboration with Hartman's Distilling. Pregame Happy Hour with Ellicottville Brewing Company Canisius Fan Zone IPAs.
Wednesday, Nov. 12 - MBB vs. Mercyhurst (7 p.m.) – Pregame Happy Hour
Join us in the Griffins' Den before tip-off for a pregame "Happy Hour" with drink specials.
Sunday, Nov. 16 - WBB vs. Cornell (12 p.m.) – Camp Day
Calling all campers – join the women's basketball team for a home game in the KAC when the Blue and Gold hosts Cornell. Please note the noon tip-off time.
Sunday, Nov. 23 - MBB vs. Binghamton (1 p.m.) – Queen City Classic / Griffsgiving
In the spirit of the Thanksgiving holiday, Men's Basketball will invite their closest faculty, staff, and supporters.
Saturday, Nov. 29 – MBB vs. Buffalo (6 p.m.) – Canisius Oven Mitt Giveaway
As the saying goes, 'Don't Let the Griffs Get Hot' -  so get your special edition oven mitts before the men's basketball team plays host to crosstown rival Buffalo at the Koessler Athletic Center for the first time since 2018.
Sunday, Nov. 30 – WBB vs. Mercyhurst (1 p.m.) – Griffsgiving
Join the women's basketball team as they recognize their closest supporters, faculty, and staff.
Friday, Dec. 12 - WBB vs. Wright State (6:30 p.m.) – Alumni Night
Celebrate the 2004-2005 MAAC women's basketball champions as the women's basketball team hosts its annual Alumni Night in the Koessler Athletic Center. Join us for pregame EBC Happy Hour specials. 
Friday, Dec. 19 – WBB vs. Saint Peter's (6:30 p.m.) – Griffmas Celebration
Decorate holiday cookies, enjoy hot chocolate and cheer on the women's basketball team as they open the league portion of the 2025-26 schedule with a home game against Saint Peter's.
Sunday, Dec. 21 - WBB vs. Siena (1 p.m.) – Non-Profit/Volunteer Day
Canisius Women's Basketball recognizes all of the non-profit leaders in our community that do invaluable work in Western New York. 
Friday, Jan. 2 - MBB vs. Fairfield (4 p.m.) – Hoops Homecoming
Start your 2026 calendar year in style as the Griffs play host to Fairfield in a league game. Note the special holiday start time. Join us for kid-friendly face painting, inflatables, and balloon animals. Former Golden Griffin students, staff, and C-Block alumni are welcome to join us for a post-game reception.
Thursday, Jan. 8 - WBB vs. Manhattan (11 a.m.) – Kid's Day
One of the best traditions on the women's basketball schedule, Canisius hosts Manhattan on for its annual Kid's Day game at the Koessler Athletic Center.
Friday, Jan. 10 - WBB vs. Iona (1 p.m.) – Hometown Heroes/ Military Appreciation Day
The Canisius women's basketball program will honor the military and community civic leaders who keep our communities safe.
Wednesday, Jan. 14 - MBB vs. Niagara (7 p.m.) – PACK the KAC Night, presented by Reimer Home Services
As students return to campus to start the 2026 spring semester, help us PACK the KAC as Western New York's best college rivalry game returns to Koessler Athletic Center. There will be a "shersey" giveaway, presented by Reimer, and fans can kick off the night with a pregame Happy Hour in the Griffins' Den.
Thursday, Jan. 22 - WBB vs. Sacred Heart (6:30 p.m.) – Coaches Appreciation Night
Canisius head coach Tiffany Swoffard will meet with local coaches in a pregame huddle before the women's basketball team plays host to Sacred Heart.
Saturday, Jan. 24 - WBB vs. Fairfield (1 p.m.) – National Girls and Women in Sports Day
Women's basketball will celebrate National Girls and Women in Sports Day with a pregame clinic for all kids ages 2-12. Stick around to watch the Griffs play host to the defending MAAC champion Fairfield Stags.
Friday, Jan. 30 - MBB vs. Marist (7 p.m.) – Youth Basketball Night
Celebrate basketball in Western New York as the men's basketball team hosts Youth Basketball Night at the Koessler Athletic Center. Two lucky youth teams will be selected to play a game at halftime as the Blue and Gold plays host to Marist.
Tuesday, Feb. 3 - WBB vs. Niagara (6:30 p.m.) – PACK the KAC Night/Gold Rush
Break out all your gold gear to support the women's basketball team as it plays host to long-time rival Niagara at the Koessler Athletic Center.
Thursday, Feb. 5 - WBB vs. Quinnipiac (6:30 p.m.) – Play4Kay Night/Petey's Birthday
The women's basketball team will host its annual Play4Kay Night to promote breast cancer awareness, and everyone will also celebrate Petey the Golden Griffin mascot's birthday with a special cookie and ice cream giveaway.
Friday, Feb. 13 - MBB vs. Iona (7 p.m.) – Light Up the KAC
All fans in attendance will receive glow sticks, light-up rally towels as the men's basketball team plays host to Iona. The first 200 students in attendance will receive a surprise special edition Canisius basketball shirt.
Sunday, Feb. 15 - MBB vs. Manhattan (1 p.m.) – Raffle-Prize Giveaway Day
Cheer on the Griffs as they host Manhattan, and be in the mix to win some great raffle prizes postgame.
Thursday, Feb. 19 - WBB vs. Rider (6:30 p.m.) – Faculty/Staff Appreciation Night
The Canisius women's basketball team will honor Canisius faculty and staff with a special night in the Koessler Athletic Center when the Griffs play host to Rider.  
Saturday, Feb. 21 - WBB vs. Mount St. Mary's (1 p.m.) – Senior Day Celebration
Join with the women's basketball program as it celebrates its graduating class of 2026 with a special pregame ceremony.
Friday, Feb. 27 - MBB vs. Merrimack (7 p.m.) – Corporate Partnership Night
The men's basketball team and the entire athletic department will honor the team behind the team with a special pregame Happy Hour to acknowledge the University's corporate sponsors.
Sunday, March 1 - MBB vs. Quinnipiac (1 p.m.) – Senior Day Celebration
The Canisius men's basketball team will honor its 2026 graduating class before tip-off against the league's preseason favorite, Quinnipiac.
