Hoops Homecoming, Presented by Pepsi, On Tap for This Weekend

The Canisius men's and women's basketball teams will host their 2026-27 home openers on Hoops Homecoming Weekend, presented by Pepsi, on Nov. 7 and Nov. 8.

The Golden Griffin men's basketball team will host long-time rival St. Bonaventure on Nov. 7 at the Koessler Athletic Center, with game time set for 7 p.m. The game between the Griffs and the Bonnies will be the 174th in series history, and it will mark the 10th time in the series where the two schools have played inside the Koessler Athletic Center.

On Nov. 8 at noon, the Canisius women's basketball program will open the home portion of its 2026-27 slate with a game against UMass-Lowell on the second day of the America East - Metro Conference Challenge. Sunday's game will serve as the first meeting between the two programs.

Hoops Homecoming Weekend, presented by Pepsi, will feature plenty of prizes and giveaways for fans. On Saturday, the first 100 Canisius fans will receive a can of Poppi, and fans will receive a free raffle ticket for a Poppi cooler, which retails for $250. Additionally, there will be an in-game Pepsi promotion with the winner receiving a pair of wireless headphones.

On Sunday, the first 100 fans into the Koessler Athletic Center will be given a free can of Alani, and fans will also receive a raffle ticket for a Pepsi cooler drawing.

Canisius students can get their raffle tickets in advance outside the library during the week leading up to the home openers. All fans must be in attendance to claim their prize.

Additionally, the EBC Fan Zone will be open to all fans starting 75 minutes prior to Saturday's tip-off against St. Bonaventure.
