Webster Selected by Las Vegas in 2024 NLL Draft

Former Canisius men's lacrosse midfielder Jackson Webster was selected by the Las Vegas Desert Dogs in the 2024 National Lacrosse League Draft presented by Castore on Sunday.
 
A native of Georgetown, Ontario, Webster was selected in the third round (30th overall) by the third-year franchise.
 
With Webster's selection, the Golden Griffins have now had a total of 17 players taken in the NLL Draft since 2003, highlighted by eight first-round picks. Webster also become the seventh Canisius player to be drafted during head coach Mark Miyashita's eight-year tenure.
 
Webster was a four-year member of the Canisius program, appearing in 48 games and amassing 25 goals and 19 assists for 44 points. A two-time MAAC All-Academic Team selection, Webster enjoyed his best season in a Canisius uniform as a senior, notching career highs in all three major offensive statistical categories during the 2024 season with 19 goals and 13 assists for 32 points. He scored three-or-more points on six occasions, highlighted by three hat tricks.
