Porter extended the Canisius lead to 3-0 with a power-play at the 17:37 mark of the second period, zipping a shot past Szary, off the post, and in for his fourth of the season. Canisius added three goals in the opening 10:26 of the third to build a 6-0 cushion. Tarr started the third-period barrage with his third of the campaign less than a minute into the period while Payne notched a shorthanded tally at the 4:18 mark. Schiavon struck for an even-strength marker with 10:26 elapsed in the third to put the game out of reach.
