The Canisius women's soccer team will host a home game in the 2024 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Women's Soccer Championship as the No. 3 seed Golden Griffins entertain No. 6 seed Merrimack Sunday in a quarterfinal contest at the Demske Sports Complex. Kickoff is slated for 1 p.m.
Due to conference policy, tickets will be available for purchase at the door. Adult tickets will be $10. Students, children and seniors will be $5. The game will also be broadcast on ESPN+.
The Golden Griffins defeated Merrimack 2-1 on the road in their lone regular season meeting back on Sept. 7 with goals from senior Madeline Weltin and graduate student Alicia Zamora.
The winner of Sunday's quarterfinal contest will advance to the semifinals. The remaining teams will be reseeded and the two highest seeds remaining will host games on Nov. 7.
