Barrett's Career Round Highlights Final Day of Fall Golf Season

Senior Sean Barrett fired a career-low 69 on Tuesday, as the Canisius golf team closed out the 2024 fall schedule on the final day of the Bucknell Invitational at Bucknell Golf Course in Lewisburg, Pa.

Barrett's 69, which was one-under par, made him the third different Golden Griffin golfer to post a round in the 60s this fall, joining fellow senior Ryan Edholm and sophomore Mikey Takacs. Barrett, who was playing in the tournament as an individual, finished the 54-hole event with a tournament score of 227, which tied him for 69th in the field.

Edholm, who shot 72 on Tuesday, finished the tournament tied for 22nd with his three-day score of 217. Sophomore Jake Dantonio tied for 51st with a tournament score of 222 after he shot 75 on Tuesday, while Takacs finished tied for 56th with his tournament score of 226. On Tuesday, Takacs shot 78, which included two eagle-threes on par-5 holes.

As a team, the Griffs posted a team tournament score of 888, which placed the team 15th. St. John's won the tournament with a team score of 855.
