Men's and Women's Basketball Host Late January Home Games

The Canisius men's and women's basketball teams will host three MAAC games over the span of five days, starting Friday, Jan. 26 when the men's team plays host to Manhattan. All three games will be played at the Koessler Athletic Center, and tickets can be purchased online by CLICKING HERE.
 
Canisius students, as always, are admitted to all home sporting events free of charge by showing their valid Canisius ID. Students are asked to enter through the student entrance in the lobby of the Koessler Athletic Center.


Friday, Jan. 26 - Men's Basketball vs. Manhattan - 7 p.m.  BUY TICKETS
    • American Cancer Society's "Coaches vs. Cancer Suits and Sneakers Night": All fans are encouraged to bring cash to make a donation during the "Miracle Minute" which will be held during a media timeout. Tickets will also be on sale Friday, with the winner of the raffle receiving a signed Chris Manhertz football. All proceeds for the "Miracle Minute" and the raffle will go to benefit the American Cancer Society and the "Coaches vs. Cancer" program;
    • Game presented by Delta Sonic: One "lucky" fan with the dirtiest car in the parking lot will be selected at random to receive a three-   month Super Kiss car wash prize pack, courtesy of Delta Sonic;
    • Canisius "Athletes 4 Athletes" game;
    • The Griffins' Den will be open 90-minutes prior to tip-off (5:30 p.m.) and is open to all fans in attendance.

Sunday, Jan. 28 - Men's Basketball vs. Marist - 1 p.m.  BUY TICKETS
    • Game presented by New Era: One Canisius student will be selected to play the "59Fifty Finger Roll Battle" against Petey the Golden Griffin mascot - if the student makes more lay-ups than Petey in 30 seconds, he or she will receive a prize pack courtesy of New Era;
    • The Griffins' Den will be open 90-minutes prior to tip-off (11:30 a.m.) and is open to all fans in attendance.


Tuesday, Jan. 30 - Women's Basketball vs. Niagara - 6 p.m.  BUY TICKETS
    
• Mental Health Awareness Night: Members of the Canisius Counseling Center will be on site to provide information on how to deal with stressful situations, offering various resources, such as websites, handouts, etc.;
    • Game presented by the Canisius University Bookstore: One Canisius student will have the chance to win a prize pack containing Canisius University branded gear, courtesy of the Canisius Bookstore;
    • Canisius "Athletes 4 Athletes" game.
