Softball to Host 2023 MAAC Softball Championship

For the third straight year and 12th time in program history, the Canisius softball team will serve as host to the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Championship at the Demske Sports Complex.

The 2023 tournament will take place May 10-13 and features a six-team, double-elimination format. Game times for the first three days of the event are scheduled for 11 a.m., 1:30 p.m. and 4 p.m. The championship series begins Saturday at 11 a.m., and if necessary, a winner-takes-all game two will be held at 1:30 p.m.

The winner of the tournament will earn the conference's berth into the NCAA Division I Softball Championship field.
Tickets for the 2023 MAAC Softball Championship can be purchased through HomeTown Ticketing at the gate or by visiting maacsports.com. Fans are encouraged to purchase tickets prior to arrival to expedite entry into the facility. Tickets will be sold at the gate, but all purchases must be made on either credit or debit cards.

Fans unable to attend in person will be able to catch all the action online as every game will be broadcast live on ESPN+.

Canisius earned the right to host by claiming the program's 16th MAAC regular-season title after finishing the regular season with a 17-3 record. The 17 wins in league play bested last year's 16 for the most in school history as the Griffs defeated all 10 MAAC teams at least once this season.
