In the Griffs next race with their second varsity eight shell, the boat finished first with a time of 7:46.9. The Colonials would again finish in second place, completing the course in 8:16.4

The Blue and Gold's varsity four boat picked up their first win of the spring season, wrapping up their heat with a time of 8:51.1. Mercyhurst, the defending Division II national champions, came in second with a time of 9:00.4.

After the morning races, head coach Kerri Brace and her team dedicated their new 1V8 boat in honor of Brace's grandfather, Michael J. Kanaley, Sr.

The Blue and Gold also raced two events in the afternoon that did not count towards the Black Rock Cup but served as intrasquad scrimmages. Mercyhurt would finish the 1V8+ race with a time of 7:04.2 while Canisius came in second at 7:13.4. In the 2V8+ contest, D'Youville edged the Griffs by a second, finishing in 7:29.2 compared to 7:30.7 for Canisius.
