Dauphinee, Heschke Pace Outdoor Track at Bison Outdoor Classic

A pair of top-10 finishes highlighted the Canisius men's and women's outdoor track performance in the Bison Outdoor Classic this weekend at the Christy Mathewson-Memorial Stadium in Lewisburg, Pa.

The Golden Griffin women were led by sophomore Taylor Heschke, who posted a top-10 finish in the women's 10,000-meter final with a time of 39:59.84 to claim ninth place.

Senior Olivia Moran claimed 12th in the women's 5,000-meter race, posting a time of 16:59.34

Freshman Jacqueline Appenheimer placed 14th in the women's 3,000-meter final, crossing the finish line in 10:30.03

Senior Brynne Ketchum took 21st in the women's mile with a time of 5:56.35.

For the Canisius men, junior Nick Dauphinee turned in a top-10 finish in the men's mile final, posting a time of 4:24.70. Freshman Joe Pivarunas also had a strong showing in the event, placing 16th with a time of 4:34.25.

Senior Tom Appenheimer took 12th in the men's 5,000-meter final, crossing the finishing line in 14:24.88

Senior Andrew Perreault placed 19th in the men's 3,000-meter steeplechase, posting a time of 9:22.49.
