• Canisius has never faced Ball State, Boston College and Merrimack in the team's 70-year history. The Blue and Gold faced Rutgers once, on March 16, 2015. Former pitching coach Brandon Bielecki started the neutral site contest, a 12-8 loss to the Scarlet Knights.

• Two-time All-American and 2022 MAAC Player of the Year Max Grant was named the league's Preseason Player of the Year. The junior, along with fellow third year Matt Duffy and seniors Mike DeStefano and Chris Pouliot all earned Preseason All-MAAC Team honors.
