The Canisius women's soccer team renews acquaintances with cross-town rival Buffalo Thursday in a 7 p.m. matchup at UB Stadium. The game will air live on YouTube.

Thursday's contest serves as the 45th meeting between the two programs in a series that spans more than 40 years. The Bulls claimed the most recent matchup in the series, posting a 2-0 victory over the Golden Griffins at the Demske Sports Complex last September.

Canisius began its four-game road swing with a 2-1 setback at Detroit Mercy on Aug. 28. Freshman Emily Brewer recorded her first collegiate goal on an assist from MAAC Rookie of the Week honoree Skylar Cornell while sophomore Jordan Spencer made three saves in goal for the Griffs.

Canisius is back in action Sunday when it travels to Central New York for a matchup against Colgate. Kickoff between the Griffs and Raiders is set for 3 p.m. at Beyer-Small '76 Field. The game will air on ESPN+.
