The teams played to a 2-2 tie in the opener before Canisius picked up the extra point with a 2-0 victory in the best-of-three shootout. The finale saw the Black Knights emerge victorious in a 3-1 triumph.
• Canisius heads into its home-and-home series against RIT looking to continue its winning ways against the Tigers as it boasts a 14-7-1 record versus RIT over the last 22 games. The Griffs enter the series riding a six-game winning streak against the Tigers, with all six of those wins having come on home ice.
• Senior goaltenders Jacob Barczewski and John Hawthorne will be counted on to build upon their solid play of late as the duo split the six games played by the Griffs during the month of November and combined to post a .921 save percentage and a 2.27 goals against average. The tandem was busy during the six-game stretch, facing an average of 29.7 shots against in those contests.
• Canisius closes out the first-half of its schedule Dec. 10 with its final non-conference game of the regular season at Maine. Start time for the matchup between the Griffs and Black Bears is slated for 2 p.m. at famed Alfond Arena in Orono, Maine.
