The Canisius volleyball team wraps up their weekend homestand when it welcomes New Jersey foe Rider to the Koessler Athletic Center. The match is scheduled to begin at noon and be broadcasted on the Golden Griffin Broadcast Network.

The Golden Griffins broke another match record during their 3-1 victory against Saint Peter's by recording 16 service aces across four sets. The Griffs 16 aces shattered the previous record of 14, which was posted three times, most recently on Aug. 24, 2018 against Binghamton. Five different Canisius players had multiple aces on the day, led by senior outside hitter Ella Loussia, who nabbed a career-high five against the Peacocks. Freshman setter Ella Bourque had three aces while seniors Bree Long and Elle Shult along with sophomore Taylor Baldwin all added two aces apiece in the 3-1 victory.

The Griffs are back in action on Oct. 15 when they travel to Poughkeepsie, N.Y. to take on head coach Tom Hanna's former team Marist.
