The Canisius volleyball team returns to Western New York to face Saint Peter's in the Koessler Athletic Center Saturday. Opening serve is scheduled for noon and the match will be broadcasted on the Golden Griffin Broadcast Network.
Dating back to 2001, Canisius has won 17 straight victories at home versus the Peacocks.
The Griffs earned the split last weekend, suffering a 3-0 setback against Iona to begin the month of October before defeating Manhattan on Oct. 2 in straight sets. Senior Ella Loussia paced the Blue and Gold with 27 kills over the two matches and extended her service ace streak to 15 matches. Defensively, junior Alexa Albinson had six total blocks, giving her 32 blocks on the season, which leads the team.
Canisius is back in action Sunday when it faces fellow New Jersey school Rider. The match is slated to begin at noon and will be broadcasted on the Golden Griffin Broadcast Network.
