The Canisius volleyball team wraps up its homestand by opening the doors of the Koessler Athletic Center to New York City foe Iona. Opening serve is set for noon with the match streaming on the Golden Griffin Broadcast Network.

In the first meeting between the Golden Griffins and Gaels this season on Oct. 1, senior outside hitter Ella Loussia led the Griffs with 11 kills and 15 digs while freshman setter Ella Bourque had a match-high 29 assists.

Dating back to 2017, the Griffs have been extremely successful against the Gaels, going 8-4 including six straight victories from 2019-2021. Four of those victories since 2017 have come in straight sets. The Griffs have also not lost to the Gaels at home since 2018 with the Blue and Gold only dropping one set to Iona at home since 2019.

The Blue and Gold are back in action on Nov. 5 when they head to the Garden State to face Rider. Opening serve is set for 1 p.m. with the match streaming on Broncvision.
