The Canisius volleyball team heads nine miles south to take on Manhattan in its second match of the weekend. The two sides first met during the 1989 season with Canisius leading the all-time series 33-17.

In yesterday's match against Iona, the Golden Griffins fell in straight sets to the Gaels. Senior outside hitter Ella Loussia and sophomore outside hitter Taylor Baldwin led the Blue and Gold with 11 kills each while freshman setter Ella Bourque had a match best 29 assists in the losing effort. As a team, Canisius posted a .174 hitting percentage on the day.

The Griffs are back in action on Oct. 8th when they welcome Saint Peter's to the Koessler Athletic Center.
