The Canisius volleyball team heads to eastern New York to take on MAAC foe Marist. The match will be streamed on Red Fox Network with opening serve set for 6 p.m. It is a crucial match for the MAAC standings as the Red Foxes sit one game above the Golden Griffins in the overall standings.
 
Tom Hanna returns to Marist for the first time since 2015 when the Griffs and Red Foxes take the court Saturday. Hanna was the head coach of the Red Foxes from 2006-2015, leading the program to 139 wins, three MAAC Championship match appearances (2009, 2013, 2014), won the two MAAC Regular Season Championships (2013-14) and coached 16 All-MAAC selections while in Poughkeepsie. He also had the distinct honor of being named one of three volleyball coaches to the MAAC 40th Anniversary Team.
 
As for the Griffs, they had another successful weekend, going 2-0, defeating Saint Peter's and Rider 3-1. Senior outside hitter Ella Loussia paced the Blue and Gold with 11 service aces over the weekend. Her six against Rider set a new career high as well. Sophomore middle blocker Emma Mans also had a strong weekend, accumulating 13 kills against Rider to also set a new career high.
 
The Griffs are back in action Sunday when they travel to Loudonville, N.Y., to face Siena. The match is set to start at 1 p.m. and be available to stream on ESPN3.
