The Canisius women's soccer team continues its road swing Saturday with a visit to MAAC newcomer Mount St. Mary's. Start time for the matchup between the Griffs and Mountaineers is slated for 1 p.m. from Waldron Family Stadium in Emmitsburg, Md.

Junior Jessica Jones and sophomore Jordan Spencer combined to make three saves to pace Canisius in a 0-0 draw at Niagara on Wednesday at Niagara Field in Lewiston, N.Y.

Spencer got the start in goal for the Golden Griffins and made one stop before being replaced by Jones at the halftime break. Jones made a pair of saves in the second half, highlighted by a diving effort on an attempt from Niagara's Emma Bough in the 68th minute.

Junior Tiani Fonoti and sophomore Emma Oliphant combined to record the five shot attempts on goal for the Griffs. Fonoti led all players with three while Oliphant finished with two.

Saturday's contest serves as the third meeting between the two programs. The teams last met during the 1996 season in Emmitsburg, Md., the second half of a home-and-home series.

Canisius closes out its three-game road trip Oct. 5 when it makes a visit to Siena. Start time for the MAAC matchup between the Griffs and Saints is slated for 4 p.m., from Hickey Field in Loudonville, N.Y.
