FIVE THINGS TO KNOW

1. Back Home Again
The Canisius women's soccer team returns home Thursday to face Big Four rival Buffalo in its final non-conference matchup of the fall season. Game time is set for 7 p.m. at the Demske Sports Complex.

2. Last Time Out
The Blue and Gold dropped Sunday's match against Robert Morris, 2-0 in Pennsylvania. The host Colonials used a pair of second-half goals to defeat the Griffs.

3. Palmer is Back
Canisius welcomed back senior Maya Palmer to the pitch on Sunday. The defender appeared in 31 minutes of action after being sidelined the first five games with an injury. Palmer started in all seven matches in the spring, playing the full 90 minutes in six of those contests.

4. Series History
Thursday's match will mark the 43rd meeting in program history between the Griffs and Bulls. Buffalo has won 28 matches in the series. In their last meeting on Sept. 6, 2018, the host Bulls came away with a 2-1 victory.

5. Beginning of Conference Play
Canisius continues its homestand into conference play, when it squares off against Manhattan on Saturday, Sept. 18. Kick off from the Demske Sports Complex is scheduled for 1 p.m.
