Five Things to Know

1) Canisius Finishes Road Slate at Quinnipiac
The Canisius men's lacrosse team takes to the road for the final time in the regular season on Saturday as it faces Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference foe Quinnipiac in an 11 a.m. matinee at the Quinnipiac Soccer and Lacrosse Stadium in Hamden, Conn.

2) Canisius Versus Quinnipiac
In 13 all-time meetings between the two schools, Quinnipiac leads Canisius, 8-5. Since the Bobcats rejoined the MAAC prior to the 2014 season, the teams have split their eight contests against each other. Canisius enters Saturday's tilt having won the last two contests against the Bobcats, including a 10-7 triumph in their most recent meeting back on April 6, 2019 at the Demske Sports Complex. The Griffs were defeated in their last trip to Hamden, suffering a 19-14 setback to the host Bobcats on April 14, 2018.

3) Maintaining Possession
Canisius did a solid job of maintaining possession during its matchup against St. Bonaventure on April 11 as they were charged with just 11 turnovers against the Bonnies. The 11 miscues committed by Canisius were not only a season-low, they were the fewest in a game by the Griffs since a 10-turnover performance against Furman on Feb. 24, 2018.

4) Showdown at the Faceoff X
Saturday's contest features two of the best faceoff specialists in the MAAC as Quinnipiac's Demtri George leads the league and ranks second nationally in faceoff winning percentage (.763). Canisius' Connor Beals has been solid at the X during his first season with the Griffs, ranking fourth in the league and 17th in the nation with a .609 success rate in draws taken.

5) Kozack Named MAAC Co-Rookie of the Week
Freshman attackman Keegan Kozack was named the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference's Co-Rookie of the Week for men's lacrosse, league officials announced on Wednesday. A native of Delta, British Columbia, Kozack was recognized after recording hat tricks in both games of a home-and-home series versus Little Three rival St. Bonaventure last week. Through six games, Kozack leads the team with 11 goals and ranks second on the squad with 14 points. He also has two game-winning goals to his credit, including the decisive tally in the Griffs' 11-9 victory over St. Bonaventure on April 6.
