1) Back at it Versus the Bonnies
For the second time in six days, the Canisius men's lacrosse team squares off against Little Three rival St. Bonaventure, as the two teams are scheduled to meet Sunday in a 4 p.m. contest at the Marra Athletics Complex in Olean, N.Y. The game was added after both teams had their respective games against Marist postponed this weekend.

2) Déjà Vu All Over Again
Sunday's contest serves as just the second instance in program history where the Griffs will face the same opponent in consecutive contests. Canisius squared off against Marist in the final game of the 2019 regular season before taking on the Red Foxes the following week in the semifinals of the MAAC Men's Lacrosse Championship.

3) Vavonese Makes Most of First Career Start
Senior goalie Matt Vavonese made the most of his first career start, posting nine saves in an 11-9 victory over St. Bonaventure Tuesday at the Demske Sports Complex. Vavonese also pitched in a career-best six ground balls and a caused turnover in the two-goal triumph.

4) Keegan Clutch
Freshman attackman Keegan Kozack has already shown an ability to step up when his team needs him most as the Delta, British Columbia, product already has two game-winning goals to his credit through the first five games of his collegiate career. Kozack authored the decisive tallies in league wins over Siena (March 20) and St. Bonaventure (April 6)

5) 10-Man Ride
Canisius' opponents have had a tough time getting established in the Griffs end of the field this season as Canisius ranks first in the MAAC and second nationally in opponent clearing percentage (.770). Each of Canisius' five opponents in 2021 have been charged with three or more failed clears.
