Men’s Lacrosse Reveals 2022 Schedule

Canisius head men's lacrosse coach Mark Miyashita announced the 2022 schedule on Tuesday, a 14-game slate that features 10 road games and four home contests.

The Golden Griffins open the regular season with five straight road contests, beginning at longtime rival Hobart (Feb. 12). An inaugural matchup with Bellarmine (Feb. 19) follows the season-opening matchup with the Statesmen before a midweek visit to Big Ten foe Michigan (Feb. 22).

Canisius closes out the month of February with a trip out west that will see Canisius square off against Air Force (Feb. 26) and Denver (Feb. 27) on consecutive days.

March gets underway with the Griffs home opener against Cleveland State (March 6). A midweek contest at Robert Morris (March 9) awaits Canisius before opening Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference play at home against Siena (March 20). A road tilt against defending America East champion Vermont (March 26) signals the end of non-conference play.

A trip to Manhattan (April 2) marks the beginning of an April slate that also includes home dates against Quinnipiac (April 9) and Marist (April 23) as well as a visit to defending league champion Monmouth (April 16). Canisius closes out the regular season with a road contest at Little Three foe St. Bonaventure (April 30).

The 2022 MAAC Men's Lacrosse Championship will be a four-team event. The semifinals will be held on May 4 at the site of the regular-season champion. The championship game is slated for May 7 at the highest remaining seed. The winner will receive the league's automatic berth into the NCAA Tournament.
