Saint Peter's took control of the game at the 3:22 mark of the first quarter when a jumper in the lane from Wil'lisha Jackson gave the Peacocks an 12-11 lead. From there, Saint Peter's would go on to outscore Canisius 35-17 in the remainder of the first half curtsey of 11 made 3-point field goals in the first 20 minutes of action to give the visiting team a 47-28 advantage at the break.

Head Coach Scott Hemer's Postgame Comments
"You cannot pick and choose when you want to play and unfortunately, we choose, in the first half to go through the motions. In the second half, we did better on both ends of the floor but it was too little too late."

"When you come out and you're not paying attention to details, and not focused on what the game plan is, if you flat out aren't showing any love for playing a sport it's reflected by turning the ball over 26 times."
