Manhattan would go on a 14-0 spell that lasted over four minutes of action in the second quarter. The run allowed the Jaspers to go up by as much five-points, 29-24, before the Blue and Gold worked the game back to a 33-33 tie at the break.

The Jaspers took control in the third stanza, outscoring Canisius 24-11 to take a 14-point advantage heading into the fourth and final quarter. Manhattan kept the Griffs off the scoreboard for the final 4:10 of the third, a span that saw the Jaspers score nine unanswered points.

Canisius' scoreless streak lasted until the 4:28 mark of the fourth when Patterson-Ricks made two at the line to put Canisius down, 66-46. The Griffs would score just four more points down the stretch, resulting in a 68-50 final.

Head Coach Scott Hemer's Postgame Comments
"We had a great first half, however, following halftime, we gave up a few baskets and couldn't convert on the offensive end and that is when some of the old bad habits kicked in. We are making progress but it still just hasn't been enough."
