Five Things to Know Before Canisius Plays at Rider Friday Night
1. Griffs Return to National TV
• Friday night's Canisius - Rider game in Lawrenceville, N.J., is one of 12 Division I men's basketball games on the schedule, and the second meeting of the season between conference rivals will be aired live to a national TV audience on ESPNU. The appearance on ESPNU on Friday will be the Griffs' third national TV game this season. Canisius will appear on national TV at least one more time this season when the Blue and Gold travel to play Monmouth Feb. 22. That game will also be broadcast live on ESPNU.

2. Griffs are Good at Sharing
• On Monday against Marist, Canisius was credited with 14 assists on 25-made field goals. As a team, the Griffs lead the MAAC and rank 114th in the nation with 14.4 assists per game. In league games, the Blue and Gold is averaging 16.6 assists per game as a team, which leads the conference.

3. We'll Take That
• The Griffs rank second in the MAAC and 114th in the nation in turnover margin at +1.3. Canisius is forcing its opponents to turn the ball over an average of 14.9 times per game, which ranks fourth in the league. Rider leads the MAAC in that category, forcing its opposition into an average of 17.4 times per contest.

4. Johnson Happy to Help
• Canisius junior Malik Johnson ranks second on the team and fifth in the MAAC with his 4.0 assists per game average this season after he was credited with seven assists in the loss to Marist on Monday. In the team's last three games, the Richmond, Va., native is averaging 8.3 assists per game. He is the first Canisius player to register seven-or more assists in three-straight games since former Griffs guard Frank Turner, who posted seven-plus assists in three consecutive games from Dec. 5-15, 2007.

5. Molson Keeps the Points Coming
• Sophomore Takal Molson scored 19 points in the loss to Marist on Monday, the 21st time this season
where he's posted double-figures in the scoring column. Through his first 55 career games, Molson has tallied 785 career points, the most points scored by a Canisius sophomore since 'Sugar' Ray Hall scored 1,015 in his first 55 career games from 1981-83.
